Camero Management

 

Eli Margalit, CEO

Eli has more than 25 years of experience in high-tech Defense, Avionics and Telecom industries and has served in key positions with some of the world's most renowned technology and defense firms.

Most recently, Eli served as Director of International Programs at Northrop Grumman's Defense Systems Division, where he established strategy and led the execution of new business pursuits and programs to significantly grow the business while reaching its financial goals. Prior to working with Northrop Grumman, Eli provided leadership in establishing a new strategic business unit as Vice President of Programs and Engineering for Cubic Advanced Tactical Systems.

Before that, Eli served as Vice President of the Electro-Optics Business Unit for Kollsman, Inc. leading its business development, program management, engineering, and manufacturing activities to realize the business unit's growth goals. Concurrently, Eli led Kollsman's engineering matrix organization, directing defense and commercial aviation engineering, and R&D activities.

Eli has numerous patents, publications, and conference papers. He holds an Executive MBA degree from the University of New Hampshire, a Masters in Applied Physics from Tel Aviv University, and dual undergraduate degrees in Physics and Mathematics from Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Amir Beeri, CTO

Most recently Amir worked at Jerusalem Global Ventures as an Entrepreneur In Residence (EIR) during which period he founded Camero together with Aharon Aharon.

Amir joined the EIR program from Infineon Savan (a fully owned subsidiary of Infineon which specialized in VDSL) where he served as General Manager from 2001 and was responsible for the entire operation in Israel including R&D, Finance and Marketing. In 2002, he initiated and led a new activity at Infineon developing an innovative chipset based on UWB for home networking.

Prior to this, Amir was the VP R&D of ADC Israel where he was responsible for 180 staff developing broadband DLC systems.

Amir served more than 14 years in the Israeli intelligence community where in his last position he headed the development department and retired in rank equivalent to a colonel. His experience includes technical areas such as digital communication, signal processing, RF and antennas.

Amir has received both a BSc & MSc in Electrical Engineering from Tel-Aviv University.

David Gazelle, VP R&D

David most recently served as the Chief Engineer at AT Communications, Israel's leading firm of consultants in the area of satellite communications providing technology advice to the entire spectrum of Israeli government and private satellite companies.

Prior to this David was responsible for a number of technical functions within Ensemble Communications.These roles included Senior Wireless Solutions Engineer, Senior Wireless Product Manager and Senior Wireless Systems Architect.

Before joining Ensemble David had served in additional senior roles at AT Communications, including Deputy General Manager and Head of Satelite Transmission Planning.

David completed his 5 years army service as a System Engineer in an elite intelligence technology unit and has both a BSc and MSc in Electrical Engineering from Tel-Aviv University.

Eyal Shechter, CFO

Eyal Shechter brings to Camero over Seventeen years of high-level finance experience and expertise both in the Hi-Tech and traditional industry.

Earlier management positions include the role of VP Finance at S. Schestowitz Ltd (the largest distributor importing and marketing branded fast-moving consumer goods in Israel), eight years as CFO and VP Operations of Seabridge a wholly owned subsidiary of Siemens, two years as the controller of Amdocs Israel (the Israeli affiliate of an international group of Companies NYSE - DOX) and four years as the controller of BVR Systems engaged in developing military and civil simulation systems (Nasdaq - BVRSF).

Eyal is a Certified Public Accountant, and holds a BA in Finance and Economics from Tel Aviv University.

Hagay Keller, VP Business Development

Hagay Keller has been active in the Defense and the HLS industry for over 13 years and draws on extensive international Business Development, Marketing and Sales experience.

Before Joining Camero, Hagay served as VP Sales and Marketing at Larotec (a member of the AGS Group) - providing advanced secure M2M wireless communications platform for sensor management and control. In his position, Hagay led the company's Sales and Marketing team in establishing the company's international business activities.

Prior to Larotec, Hagay served as Director of Business Development in SimiGon - a leading Training and Simulation Software Company focusing on the Defense-Aerospace market. In this position he was head of SimiGon's Business Development and Sales team and responsible for executing the business activities in Europe and APAC.

Hagay served 7 years in various Marketing and Sales executive positions at ITL Defense and Security Group specializing in Electro-optical systems for infantry, Special Forces and law-enforcement units.

Hagay also served as an officer in a reconnaissance-Intel unit in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).

Hagay holds an Executive MBA from Bradford University UK and a BA in Business Management from The College of Management in Israel.

Dirk Vandervaart, VP Business Development USA

Dirk van der Vaart has been active in the National Security and Defense arena for 20 years.

Mr. van der Vaart joined Camero in Jan 2008 as Director of Business Development. Dirk helped complete Camero's US strategic plan and has actively worked to position the firm for success with DoD and Federal customers. Dirk joined Camero from American Systems where he served as VP and Strategic Business Area Leader for National Security. In that position, Dirk was responsible for developing and executing the firm's business development strategies with regard to all civilian and military intelligence agencies. He lead a team that was successful in capturing over $500M in National Security business.

Prior to American Systems, Dirk served as President of a joint venture providing security consulting services in Iraq. Dirk previously served as Vice President of Homeland Security for ManTech International Corporation. Before entering the corporate world, Mr. van der Vaart served for 10 years in the US Intelligence Community, involved primarily in special operations. Mr. van der Vaart has a BA in Journalism from Messiah College, and an MBA in International Business Strategy from the George Washington University. He is fluent in Italian, Dutch, French, Spanish and German.
