Headlines

Xaver™ Systems Aid in Hostage Rescues:By providing tactical operators with critical situational awareness and detailed intelligence, Camero’s Xaver™ systems played a critical role in recent hostage rescue operations. In the US, the Xaver™ 400 was used by a SWAT team to successfully and swiftly end a hostage taking. The SWAT team received information that the hostage takers had hidden in one of three adjacent apartments. Using Camero’s compact and mobile Xaver™ 400 system, the team quickly determined which of the three units was occupied and staged a successful rescue. Similarly in Mexico, government forces used the Xaver™ 800 system to perform a rescue operation for a kidnap victim. Details of each case remain undisclosed due to ongoing legal actions. These two cases are prime examples of how Camero’s Xaver™ family of through-wall imaging products can save lives and improve tactical decision making.

Global Marketing and Expanded Footprint:During the first quarter of 2010, Camero delivered a record number of systems in support of its customers’ needs in theater and on their home security fronts. In addition, Camero continued marketing and sales efforts by exposing the advanced capabilities of the Xaver™ suite of products in the US, Europe, Asia, Latin America and Africa. Many of these potential customers are in the testing and evaluation stage of the products. These efforts have already yielded orders for broad deployment of Xaver™ STTW systems to strategic customers in Europe and the Southeast Asia region for immediate deployment with elite military forces as well as Para-military law enforcement agencies.

Camero Development of Concealed Weapon Detection System:Camero is in advanced development stages of a standoff Concealed Weapons Detection (CWD) system. The CWD is being developed using the same core UWB radar technology that has proven successful with the Xaver™ suite of products. The goals of the CWD project is to provide a revolutionary real-time imaging system capable of detecting concealed Person Borne Improvised Explosive Devices (PBIED) or any other foreign object on a person via a noninvasive and harmless detection process. Camero’s technology offers clear advantages with real-time and unique high resolution 3D image rendering that are geared to overcome privacy concerns. The rising necessity for CWD systems around the globe provides Camero with a great opportunity to extend its market reach with the application of its proven technology to new products.

Appointment of New VP, Business Development:Camero would like to welcome Mr. Hagay Keller on board as the new VP, Business Development (Rest of World). Mr. Keller joins Camero with over 13 years of experience in the Defense and the HLS industry and has a strong record of achievements in previous International Business Development, Marketing and Sales positions.
